Now Globalisation is the Mantra of the international business community and respective local governments who wish to adopt this concept. The effect of the Globalisation experienced by various countries through their development in industrial, service and utility sectors. All the governments' intention shall be to increase the standard of living of all the citizens of the respective countries only and not to the selected business and other sections of the community. But, the fact as per the survey conducted by an agency reveals bitter one.

As per the announcement made after a survey by DPA ASIA FEATURES, some nations are born poor, some attract poverty, while some have poverty thrust upon them and the following statistics through a glance the basic inequilities that stare the world in its face, despite the lofty millennium development goals:

Countries with low Access to clean Access to Sanitary Child Mortality Children attending Health care spending
& medium range Incomes Water facilities of under fives Secordary School
% of population % of population per 1000 children 5 of children in per head in USD
corresponding age group

SUB SAHARAN AFRICA 60 31 130 34 132

SOUTH ASIA 87 36 71 52 106

MIDDLE EAST & NORTH AFRICA 87 84 33 73 350

EAST ASIA AND THE PACIFIC 88 59 26 74 231

LATIN AMERICA & THE CARIBBEAN 93 79 23 89 733

EUROPE AND CENTRAL ASIA 95 89 21 89 738

BY COMPARISON:
INDUSTRIALISED COUNTRIES
WITH HIGH INCOMES 100 99 7 100 4,136

So all the countries should also pay equal attention to the welfare of the public alongwith the present globalisation which mostly focus on business aspects only.
