Unwarranted SMS

At last, the required law will be in place by this month end ie. Sep 2011. TRAI finally announced the date to bar the unwarranted SMS to mobile phone users through various service providers.
This will help to improve the quality of the usage of the instrument and unnecssarily addressing the irrelevant SMSs by the customers. This will also be extended to unwarranted telemarketing calls. We need to register with this authority to include the respective phone number to bar the unwarranted SMSs. In a later date, if the same customer wishes to withdraw this restriction, he/she can inform the concerned authority.
There are partial or total bar on SMSs . Banking and other financial serive related SMSs shall be excluded from this bar as per your instruction to the concerned authorities. So hereafter, every one will get only relevant SMSs only.
