As per the data available with ILO, Avtar I-Win, Women work force in India is much lesser than the international figures.

A. Share in labour force (%):
India has 28.1% of Women work force against 71.9% of Men workforce
China has 41.2% of Women work force against 58.8% of Men workforce
Japan has 40.1% of Women work force against 59.9% of Men workforce
Singapore has 40.1% of Women work force against 59.9% of Men workforce
B.share in women in work force (%):
In India Many among the women work force who do drop off in time from the work or job 34% in age between 21-34, but the work force got reduced to meagre 17% in the age group between 35-49.
C. What keeps them in Jobs are outlined below:
80 % of the respondents for Organisational -led skill building programme
88% of them for Flexible working arrangements
76% of them for mentoring
72% of them for inspiring peer group
72% of them for self initiated skill building programmes
70% of them for home based family member care giver
68% of them for home based non family care giver
55% of them for day care services
66% of them for organisation provided creche.
