Most of us do certain activities without knowing the real impact under the Law. One of the incidents has been mentioned below to create awareness:

Minor driving motor cycle without licence and met with an accident. Third party got injured and his/ her vehicle also got damaged. Liability to pay compensation falls on whom was the issue before the court.
The Supreme Court observed that the rider was a minor on the date of the accident and was riding the motorcycle in violation of the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1948 and the Rules framed thereunder. The insurer was held liable to satisfy the award announced by the Tribunal to the family of the deceased and to recover the same amount from the owner of the motorcycle.
So the owner is liable to pay the compensation. But the details of punishment, if any, to the minor was not mentioned in the judgement
This is very important decision and also a message to the public at large. So every one should keep this incident in mind and act accrodingly. Minor will definetly become major one day and he/she will ride the vehicles with a valid licence and parents need not entertain and offer their vehicles to their children.
