Self Help Groups (SHG) help rural and urban unskilled people to carry out tiny and small self employed activities to generate income for their livelihood. The motive of SHG is to generate income for the poor people and improve their standard of living. But the domestic and international investors or businessmen exploited theses noble concept to improve their business income with interest rate of above 30% p.a.
The Govt and RBI should introduce norms for interest and other charges within the permissible rates, which will help the poor people to really utilise these financial assitance to improve their livelihood.
