Hi

How to get IE code? What are the documents to be submitted?

Anyone can help me.

All the international transactions require IE Code and if any one carry on any trade, service and other related activities without this code are in violation of the provision of FEMA.

The prescribed form for the new application as well as modification in the approved IEcode shall be submitted to the local office, mostly situated in the Capital of the respective states.

List and Number the documents while filing the IEC Application :-


1. Self Addressed envelope with Rs.30/- affixed in envelope- pin it
2. Page No. 1- Covering Letter in a letter head format
3. Page No. 2 - 3 –PART –A duly fill up
4. Page No. 4 - 5 – PART – C & D duly fill up
5. Page No. 6 – Bank Certificates, with photo of the applicant and duly attested by the bank official with name, number, designation and full address of the
bank and branch.
6. Page No. 7 – PAN Card (Both Side Copies) – Self Certified.
7. Page No. 8 – PAN Letter Copy – Self Certified.
8. Page No. 9 – Name Board Declaration in Letter Head
9. Page No. 10 Onwards other supporting documents – Self Certified with proper Page Nos.
10. All Pages to be page numbered.
11. DD or Pay order for Rs. 250/- (Present fee) in favour of the designated local office.
12 File all the above documents in a file and write full details on the top of the file
13 Business contitution documents like partnership deed, Memorandum and Artilces of association, Trust deed etc as the case may be shall be enclosed.

Submit the same with the local office and approval status will normally informed in the same day evening by 4.45 pm. All the approved applications will be processed and IE code will be sent with in 7 to 10 days. All the rejected applications shall be resubmitted with the corrections mentioned in the advice sheet.
